Why see J Katharine Locke?
Katharine Locke studied pathology, natural medicine and herbs extensively and scientifically at University and graduated with an Honours degree. She is an experienced herbal practitioner, having helped many patients to better health. Katharine has a calming and reassuring professional demeanour. She is a member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists and of the College of Practitioners of Phytotherapy.
She specialises in treating women and children, and people undergoing treatment for cancer. She is a keen to promote integrated medicine - use of complementary and alternative medicine alongside orthodox medicine and has the Foundation Certificate in the Bristol Approach to working with people with cancer Penny Brohn Cancer Care. Katharine is a volunteer mentor on the ProAct 65+ research study, The ProAct65+ trial, which is comparing the effectiveness of community-based exercise classes and home-based exercises in reducing falls. She is involved in the home-based exercise arm of the study.
